The Carioca Cum Laude: The inspiring Jogie Papillera story

Talk about impressive, this young lady who was selling carioca, turon, and other snacks for merienda has just graduated cum laude in BS Accountancy from San Sebastian College-Calunbang!

You heard that right! Jogie Papillera was not your ordinary student. As a child of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and a factory worker, she wanted to help her parents with the expenses at home. Check out the heart on this girl! That’s not all! Apart from her “sideline,” this lady is a top notch scholar from her school. Top it all off with her cum laude title and we all know that this girl is going places.

Truly an inspiration, she had a message for everyone on Facebook.

She said that there is nothing that can stop anyone from reaching their dreams with the right amount go determination, love and passion for what they’re doing, and faith for the God above. She also gave a message to all the students out there saying that not everyone gets the chance to study in school and that they should be thankful for that blessing. She ended her message by telling those students graduating this year to not give them parents or guardians a headache and to help them out not just financially but by being a good son or daughter.
