Ruffa Gutierrez defends teenage daughters from catcallers in Malaysia

In a series of tweets, Ruffa Gutierrez revealed that catcallers are everywhere in the world and that it has become difficult to even enjoy an innocent vacation without having to fend off some of these disgusting harassers. Do you remember her daughters Venice and Lorin from the old commercials? Well, they are fine ladies now, and they definitely do not deserve what they experienced while on a vacation with their mother!

Ruffia Gutierrez and her two girls were surely disappointed when their family bonding at the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park in Malaysia was interrupted by two strangers whistling lewdly at them.

The disappointed mother didn’t let any of it slide. She promptly took a video of the harassers and while she also appeared to be reporting the untoward incident to park staff.

Furthermore, the former beauty queen reported the incident to netizens of the world through Twitter. Understandably, support for the mother poured from netizens. A lot of people commended her standing up for her kids.

The incident would surely have long-term negative effect on the kids — it even had an instant effect on the children’s psyche:

“We came here to enjoy with our kids and creepy men are harassing our kids!!! They are now traumatized & want to go home!!!”
