The top-notcher Mark John Simondo revealed what he did to earn the impressive score of 91.05 percent in the 2017 Bar Examination.
Based on an interview with DZMM TeleRadyo, the proud graduate from the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental admitted that he aspired to be on the top since he started law school.

“Starting the first year I really hoped and really aimed to get into the top 10 that’s why I really studied hard.”
“Medyo flexible naman ang schedule ko. I just see to it na I read around 8 to 9 hours a day and during the ‘ber’ months I increase it to 12 hours per day.”

At first, Simondo didn’t believe the great news that he bested the 1,724 passers in the 2017 Bar Examination. In fact, it only came to his senses after seeing a screenshot indicating he was on the top list.
According to Simondo, he wanted to become a lawyer because he saw that there was limited practice in corporate law in Bacolod City. He also stated that his parents were pressuring him to work overseas and becoming a lawyer would allow him to stay in his beloved country.
