Here is the wittiest comeback against rude and entitled customers

Customer service has to be one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Having to remain composed and level-headed despite rude remarks snarked by stressed out customers, is truly challenging. This happens especially in the travelling and airline businesses where passengers are almost always in a rush to get to places, and planes commonly get delayed or cancelled. In these situations, most passengers get into heated conversations with airport authorities who try their best to keep everyone calm and cool.

But every now and then, some customers cross the line.

For those who have experienced this, here is a perfectly made-up scenario that offers the best clap back against rude customers.

At the LaGuardia Airport in New York¸ a Southwest Airlines flight was cancelled due to inclement weather. The woman who was tasked of re-booking the flights was queued with a long line of anxious passengers who are growing impatient.

Then suddenly, a man went straight to the counter, slammed his ticket, and said, “I HAVE to be on this flight and it has to be FIRST CLASS.”

The agent, aware of the long line of people, calmly said, “I’m sorry, sir. I’ll be happy to try to help you, but I’ve got to help these folks first; and then I’m sure we’ll be able to work something out.”

To which the angry passenger replied, “DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM?”—loud enough for the other passengers to hear him.

But the clerk had no intention of being intimidated. She held her microphone close and spoke, “May I have your attention, please?” she began, addressing the entire terminal.

“We have a passenger here at Gate 14 WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHO HE IS. If anyone can help him with his identity, please come to Gate 14,” she added.

The terminal was filled with laughter.

The passenger, who did not appreciate her sassy comeback, furiously said, “Screw you!”

To which the clerk happily responded, “I’m sorry, sir. You’ll have to get in line for that, too.”
