Heartwarming moment as soldier and sister reunites after three years

Indeed, nothing is more rewarding than reuniting with a long-lost loved one. For this woman in Arizona, she endured three years of waiting just to see his soldier brother back home again.

When he was just 19-year-old, Shane Rader enlisted in the U.S. Army. Along with many other Americans, young Shane was deployed in Italy and will be staying there for another three years. Thus, he left his hometown and family in Arizona with a heavy heart.

Many were sad with his departure, but Shane’s younger sister, Elizabeth, took the heaviest blow. Growing up, Elizabeth and Shane formed a close bond and became childhood friends. Worrying for her brother’s safety, she had no other option but to wait patiently ’til he comes back home.

On one fateful day, all of her sacrifices were paid off when Shane finally came home! The 22-year-old soldier knew that his sister has been waiting for him, so he decided to surprise her. Shane told Elizabeth that he is still in Italy, so you can just imagine her surprise!

At first, the unsuspecting sister was just watching the television peacefully. The next thing she knows, her arms were already flung at Shane’s neck after seeing him! Indeed, their heartwarming reunion will bring tears to your eyes.

According to a report from Everything Inspirational, Shane’s older brother, John, was the only person to knew about his plans. In an interview, John was quoted as saying:

“I loved Elizabeth’s reaction, you can tell just how excited and overcome with emotion she was.”
