Surely, at one point in your life, you’ve felt as if the summer heat is so intense it could actually fry an egg! Well, this guy just made your childhood musings come true. Netizen Jerome Cawaling actually tried frying an egg under the summer sun, and took a video to prove that it could actually happen.
The now-viral video shows Jerome Cawaling breaking open an egg into a frying pan that has been sitting on the pavement in direct sunlight. Sure enough, it didn’t take long for the egg to actually get fried! Amazing, isn’t it? Well, for some other netizens– no, not really.
As of writing time, the viral video already has more than 23,000 reactions and over 12,000 shares. However, the real entertainment is in the comments section of the now-controversial post.

Of course, there are some who trusted and believed Jerome Cawaling. They were simply surprised, amazed, and inspired to try the trick at home! After all, the video seemed like enough evidence to prove it.
Also, a man from Dubai previously did this trick, as reported by the Daily Mail. His evidence was much more compelling though, as he started shooting the moment he put the pan under the heat of the sun.
WikiHow articles on how to fry an egg on the sidewalk also point to the fact that under specific circumstances, it could actually be done.

However, many others were skeptical. They thought, no matter how hot the summer could get, it still wouldn’t heat up oil and fry an egg as quickly as Jerome Cawaling showed in his video. These people reckoned that the pan and the oil have already been heated up (using a stove, of course), before it was brought out to the sun for the “trick.”

These netizens flagged Jerome as a liar, trying to cheat his way into fame. Some even dared him to make more videos, this time asking him to do stuff like meat tendering under the sun!
Still, some netizens just chose to ignore the fact that this is so clearly a trick. They simply appreciated the video for its entertainment value and gave Jerome two thumbs up for such light, engaging content.
