Facebook user vows to never wear a sunflower top again

In this age of the internet and social media, trends spread quickly like wildfire. From music, films, television, makeup, and fashion, everything under the sun, sometimes even beyond the sun, can trend. One fashion trend that took Philippines by storm is the sunflower top.

Whichever store you walk into, odds are there is at least one top or piece of clothing that has sunflower design all over it. It’s literally everywhere!

And to prove this point, one Facebook user named Rose Ann shared a photo of herself wearing a sunflower off-shoulder top. This young woman was pictured sitting inside a jeepney between two other women who are wearing the same exact design! How crazy is that?

She captioned the photo saying, “LESSON: Huwag bumili ng ganitong damit. No to Sunflower“.

Her Facebook post has now reached more than 71,000 shares and 73,000 reactions from social media users.

Meanwhile, the comment section on her post blew up with hilarious comments from witty netizens. One said that there was an unplanned reunion happening inside the public utility vehicle, while another joked that he thought the photo was a sunflower farm at first glance.

While others hinted that they might stop wearing their sunflower top to prevent such a thing from happening.

“Itapon ko na ba gan’to ko?”

“Bumili pa naman ako nito haha ginamit ko sa beach,” netizens wrote.

Following trends is not a sin, but if you want to stand out from the crowd, wearing clothes with these prints is definitely not the way to go.
