Jennylyn Mercado finally gets rid of her so-called famous bathtub

Living in an overly massive house alone is perhaps a waste of money and space. But despite all of these unnecessary decisions, we can’t blame a certain person if they wish to do so. As we all know, owning a colossal house alludes to wealth, convenience, and comfort.

In an exclusive interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), the 31-year-old Kapuso star Jennylyn Mercado shared a not-so-important update about her so-called famous bathtub. According to her, she has already gotten rid of it because she simply doesn’t need it.

In her own defense, she explained why she finally decided — without any hesitation — to dispose of her bathtub. To her statement, she admitted of only using it just once. Moreover, she even described how the porcelain shine of bathtub turned into a yellowish mess.

“Alam niyo bang tinanggal ko na ‘yon?” she said. Kasi hindi ko siya ginagamit. Sabi ko, ‘Naninilaw na! White ‘yan, di ba? Sabi ko, ‘Naninilaw na ang bathtub ko!”

Despite scrapping it from her posh bathroom, Jennylyn Mercado converted that empty space into a “closet with a sliding door.”

“E, di napakinabangan ang space. Once lang nagamit. Na-excite ako ‘tapos ang hirap pala maglinis after. Ayoko na. Siyempre kapag sa room ko kasi, ako sana. Ako talaga. Pero sa walis-walis, puwede na sila. Pero sa ligpit, yung mga galaw ng gamit ako na.”

Just a little background, her 500 square meter wide property in Quezon City is already featured in a 2016 edition of YES! Magazine. As stated in the write-up, it has eight bathrooms, a garden, a family den, car port, two kitchens, two dining areas, two guest rooms, and four bedrooms.
