Former broadcaster and TV host Jay Sonza made noise on social media once again. On Monday, the 62-year-old veteran newscaster took to Facebook to rant about Filipino broadcast journalists whom he thinks lack “breeding.”
That is to say, he enumerated the journos whom he thinks lack the proper work ethic and integrity. Among those he mentioned on his angry post are ABS-CBN reporters Karen Davila, Alvin Elchico and Zen Hernandez and one another newsman from ANC. Also, TV5‘s newscaster Ed Lingao, Lourd de Veyra, and one unnamed reporter.
Moreover, GMA-7 correspondents Kara David, Joel Zobel, Joseph Morong, Arnold Clavio also made it on the list.
According to Sonza, the aforementioned journalists are “without depth” and “disrespectful.”

As expected, Jay Sonza’s Facebook post gained mixed reactions from the netizens. As of posting, his striking post already gained over 4,000 reactions, 1,000 shares, and more than 500 comments.

In case you’re no longer familiar with Jay Sonza, well, he is a renowned broadcaster. As a matter of fact, he used to work under ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. and GMA Network Inc. in the past. Also, he worked as a journalist in a well-known publication. Presently, he is the station manager of UNTV 37.

To point out, this is not the first time that he called out certain individuals on the internet. On January 24, he expressed his frustration on the modern Philippine media and called Kris Aquino’s youngest son, Bimby Yap “baklain.”
His post reads:
“Hindi [ko] alam kung matutuwa ako o malulungkot para sa Philippine media ngayon. Akalain mo nadulas lang sa swimming pool iyong baklaing si Bimby, anak ni Kris Aquino sa pangatlong kinasama niyang lalaki, headline ng maraming himpilan ng radio at telebisyon!”
