Ciara Sotto shares her thoughts on Valeen Montenegro’s denial about third-party involvement

It seems that Ciara Sotto has finally moved on from everything that caused her heartbreak from the past. Three years ago, the former actress decided to leave her estranged husband Joe Oconer after finding out about his mistress. She shared this in her interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) during the launch of tvN Asia’s “One Night Food Trip International Edition 2.”

“I’m happy, lalo na ngayon may project kami ni Danica [Sotto] na ganito. It’s been really good. Life’s been good and I’m very thankful to God for that. I’m very happy with the way Crixus is growing-up. You know, I’m just at peace with my life right now.”

The television host admitted that she is happier now than when her family was still complete. Ciara Sotto prioritized her happiness and that of her son’s which made the decision to leave her husband easier.

“Pero ganun naman talaga ang marriage. Meron kayong pagdadaanan na mahirap. But then again, kapag hindi mo na talaga kaya and you think you’re compromising your own self, your own happiness, [if] it’s not making you a better person anymore, and you’re not happy with yourself anymore… And I have zero tolerance for cheating. So, I think it’s time to let go.”

However, what can this single mother say about her husband’s alleged mistress? Valeen Montenegro strongly denied all the accusations linking her to the controversy and this is what Ciara Sotto has to say:

“Actually, if that’s her version of the truth, I cannot comment on that. Pero ako kasi, takot akong magsinungaling. Liars go to hell, di ba?”
