Perhaps, some of you aren’t aware that the Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo also worked for the rival network giant several years ago. As a matter of fact, she was quite a freelancing actress before she received her break. Fun fact: she appeared in GMA-7’s “Endless Love” and ABS-CBN’s “Magkaribal” on the same date, June 28, 2010.
In “Endless Love,” Kathryn starred as young Jenny (who later on evolved as Marian Rivera). She was paired with Kristoffer Martin, the younger version of Dingdong Dantes’ character in the drama. Her stint in the primetime block lasted for one week. Even so, her team-up with Kristoffer was tagged as the next Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio.

Meanwhile, Kathryn’s character in “Magkaribal” depicted the younger version of Gretchen Barretto’s role. She performed as Anna Abella, but later on, her name became Victoria Valera when La Greta took over the character.
All in all, Kathryn only appeared twice in “Magkaribal.” Even so, her impeccable acting gave a lasting impact to the televiewers. People lauded her delivery towards the formidable scene wherein she sold her flesh to be able to feed her younger sister.

During the media conference for “Endless Love,” Kathryn apparently was aware of her would-be appearances on separate series.
“Hindi po yata sabay ng timeslot, pero same day. Kasi po, end of May po dapat talaga yung Magkaribal, tapos na-move po siya nang na-move. Hanggang sa pumasok na po yung Endless Love. Ngayon po pala yung nagkataong sumabay, hindi ko po talaga alam na magkakasabay.”
