Rosalina Limosnero bursts into tears as her son, Kim Limosnero, was named valedictorian of the University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC).
Kim decided to keep his distinction as a secret, only revealing it on the graduation day.
As the names of the honor students were called, Kim proudly led the pack. The magna cum laude graduate, whose GWA is a whopping 1.256, narrated how his mother had to work day and night in order to support him and his three other siblings.

“Every morning, she would wake up around 4 a.m. to start managing our business — estimating how many packs and bundles of chicharon she could sell for the day.”
Kim’s father, on the other hand, had bitten the dust when he was just a child. Because of this, the burden of managing their chicharon business solely fell on his mother’s shoulders
Furthermore, Kim joked that his mother wasn’t able to find her “forever” because she’s too busy taking care of them.

The accounting graduate, who only missed the highest honor award by the slightest decimal, dedicated his achievement to his mom who couldn’t help but tear up on the sweet gesture.
“This sablay and medal are for you Ma. Sorry if I never told you that I was graduating as the valedictorian of our batch. I intended to make this day super special and memorable to you by surprising you on this day of the graduation.”
Moreover, Kim vowed to ease Rosalina’s burden once he passes the CPA Licensure Examination this October 2018.
