People riding the bus on their way to Makati yesterday were witnesses to a surprisingly violent exchange. Kristoffer de Castro, as well as other passengers, caught a lesbian aggressively punch the woman sitting next to her. The Facebook user couldn’t help but post the video on social media in order to call out the despicable woman.
According to the source, the lesbian started to hit the woman which then caught everyone’s attention. What made matters worse was that the victim was carrying a child with her. Passengers tried to stop the violent interaction but to no avail.
Fortunately, local authorities were stationed on the bus stop and both women were escorted to a station. Neither the video nor the Facebook post revealed the identity of the aggressor. However, the bus has a security camera that might have recorded everything which can help the police.
Kristoffer’s post immediately went as netizens were eager to lash out their sentiments. Some people took the opportunity to say that lesbians were harsher than men. They think that this was truly a great insult to the rights of women and children everywhere.
There’s no doubt that the violence displayed that day greatly affected the child. De Castro included in his post that the exchange may lead to the young boy experiencing trauma. If a cases are ready to be filed, the aggressor would face charges under the “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act” or Republic Act 9262.
According to the law, the State values the need to protect the family and its members particularly women and children, from violence and threats to their personal safety and security.
