After a long while off the stage, Lyca Gairanod made her comeback on “Umagang Kay Ganda” – but not without controversy.
For her guest performance, “The Voice Kids” grand champion chose to sing Camilla Cabello’s “Havana“. She was off to a great start, convincing us with her imitation of the Hollywood singer’s singing style, including a few hand movements.
No wonder Sarah Geronimo turned around for her.

However, somewhere along the act, things suddenly got… pretty interesting. Even before we realize it, Lyca was changing the lyrics of “Havana”. For instance, the song originally goes:
“He didn’t walk up with that “how you doin’?” / He said there’s a lot of girls I can do with / I knew him forever in a minute / And papa says he got malo in him”
But, somehow, here’s how it went for the 13-year-old singer, as kindly transcribed by a netizen online.
“He didn’t wanna I, with that high he doin / He see there’s a lanterns guy can do it / Waiting forever minute / [inaudible] Milo in him”
