The Philippine music industry will see another rising talent and she is ready to show that the apple does not fall far from the tree in terms of talent.
Sarah Alcasid, the second child of OPM veteran Ogie Alcasid and his ex-wife beauty queen Michelle Van Eimeren, will finally make her showbiz debut this August.

Sarah posted in her Instagram account a poster announcing her debut in her father’s 30th-anniversary convert titled “OA” which will be at the Araneta Coliseum on August 24.
“Ito po ang una kong stage performance sa Pilipinas. Sobrang exciting talaga! Abangan niyo po!” Sarah wrote in her Instagram post.
Ogie also posted the poster with the caption: “Our dalaga @sarahalcasid is also joining me and I am so excited for her. She will be taking a short break from school just to celebrate with us my 30th year. Thank you so much anak! Love you so much!”
This is not the first that a Van Eimeren-Alcasid child entered the Philippine music industry.

Sarah’s older sister Leila is currently based in the Philippines as she recently had a record contract under ABS-CBN music label Star Music.
In fact, Sarah is also one of Ogie’s special guest at the concert.
Sarah is currently based in Australia with her mother and her step-father.
Ogie and Michelle were married in 1996 for 11 years before they filed for an annulment in October 2007.
Ogie then married fellow singer Regine Velasquez, who is also known as Asia’s Songbird.

Ogie and Michelle remained friends all throughout the year. In fact, when Michelle married her fiance Mark Morrow, Alcasid and Velasquez were even part of the guests.
