It has been a while since actor-host Ryan Agoncillo last appeared in the daily noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga.” Fans had grew curious and concerned on what had really happened to him.
“Eat Bulaga” recently celebrated their 39th anniversary, making them the longest-running noontime show in the country. But Ryan was still nowhere to be found during the celebration.
During the grand opening of the restaurant of Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas, Judy Ann Santos was interviewed and ask about her husband’s absence from the show.
“The truth is, kailangan niya talagang mag-focus, magbigay ng proper attention sa therapy niya, kasi mabagal ang healing. E, yung time ng therapy na ibinigay sa kanya ng doctor, yun din ang time niya sa Bulaga,” said Juday.

Last year, Ryan had undergone knee operation and therapy session after having an accident during his motorcycle training.
According to Juday, Ryan works out at least twice a day. Two hours of workout and two hours of therapy.
She said that such happened because when the surgeon checked Ryan’s knee operation, the doctor noticed its slow healing.
“Ang nangyari kasi, after ng surgery niya, after a month, bumalik na rin siya agad sa Eat Bulaga. So, noong nagpa-check-up siya ulit, nakitang hindi masyadong naghi-heal,” the actress continued.
Ryan should have fully recovered at this time but because his therapy wasn’t given much attention, this slowed down the healing.
“So ngayon, ang advice sa kanya is he really needs to put attention.”
Ryan is still capable of doing normal activities but it is best that he restrained himself from working.
According to his wife, “Nag-focus muna siya sa family. Kasi for the past seven, nine years niya sa Eat Bulaga, most of the time, hindi niya nakikita ang mga bata. Ngayong nagte-therapy siya, parang he took it as a chance na rin to be able to spend time with the children.”
Ryan’s absence is very clear to “Eat Bulaga” and they do not really pressure him into immediately going back to work. According to Juday, the matter should not even be a big deal.
“Nakakatuwa naman na nami-miss, nagtatanong sila, concerned sila. Hindi naman namin ide-deny ang fact na napapansin siyang wala sa Bulaga, ibig sabihin, nagma-matter yung presence niya, di ba? Doon alone, nakakataba ng puso,” said Juday.

Juday said that it is still unsure on when Ryan would get to go back to the show.
“Hindi ko masabi, e. Pero ang maganda naman sa Bulaga, hindi siya pini-pressure na bumalik. Parang, I think, they also want him to recover fully, at saka delikado rin kasi,” the actress emphasized.
Judy Ann said that Ryan’s health is still on the crucial stage so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Juday gave a message to everyone who misses Ryan.
“Huwag na kayong mag-worry, okay naman po si Ry. He’s very okay, he’s on his way to recovery. Sa lahat ng naghahanap at nakaka-miss, thank you, kasi nakakataba ng puso.
“Of course, in behalf of Ryan, malaking bagay sa kanya yun na hinahanap siya, nami-miss siya. Even yung mga co-hosts niya sa Bulaga, they were texting, asking if he’s okay.
“It really means a lot to him kasi, alam mo yun, iba ang pakiramdam yung may genuine family from Eat Bulaga.”
Juday said that Ryan is fortunate enough for having a family like “Eat Bulaga.”

“Kasi, iyan ang mundo… well, kung may mundo ang showbiz, may sariling mundo ang Bulaga. Kung ayaw ka nila, ayaw ka nila. Pero kung mahal ka nila, mahal ka talaga nila. At mararamdaman mo naman yun.
“And with the show as epic, as historical as Eat Bulaga, at nandoon ka sa history na yun, I think it’s more than a blessing,” Judy Ann stated.
For now, everyone is praying and hoping for Ryan’s fast recovery.
