All Filipinos know that there are only two major television networks in the country and those are ABS-CBN and GMA. These networks have been in competition with each other for so long that even its fans and followers get into arguments of which one is actually better in terms of their shows.
But whether you are a Kapamilya or a Kapuso, one thing is for sure—we’ve all been through switching channels in between commercial breaks just so we can catch our favorite shows from each network.

Each network has their mainstays.
For the Kapuso channel, they are the legendary Tito, Vic, and Joey, along with several celebrities like Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and the younger stars like Barbie Forteza and Bea Binene. For the Kapamilya network, counterparts like Piolo Pascual, Jericho Rosales, Vice Ganda, and Toni Gonzaga to name a few are also on-screen staples.
To the younger generations, these Kapamilya stars define what ABS-CBN is. But what many youngsters do not know is that most of these big stars from ABS-CBN are originally from its rival network. Take the case of Toni Gonzaga for example.
We can’t deny that the Multimedia Star is indeed talented in many accounts. She is also one of the rather famous stars of the Kapamilya network. But she has recently shared her humble beginnings as a host of Eat Bulaga during her guesting in her sister’s Vlog.

Apart from this, Toni was also a regular host in the longest running noon-time show, Eat Bulaga. Yes! She was once a Dabarkads before she became ABS-CBN’s big star.
Many netizens, especially the younger ones, were surprised when she suddenly shared this in Alex Gonzaga’s Vlog.
“Natutunan ko dati sa Eat Bulaga na ang hosting daw is presenting your personality and who you are to the world,” she shared. She went on to elaborate on her statement with, “It’s presenting who you are with conviction na dini-deliver mo yung what is ask of you to tell your audience. So kung naiinis sya sayo, eh di naiinis sya sa personality mo sa TV.”
