In an episode of ABS-CBN’s morning show entitled Magandang Buhay, Iza Calzado revealed that she and fiancé, Ben Wintle will be wed at the latter part of the year.
Aside from the assurance that the wedding will happen within the year, Iza mentioned another important detail regarding the wedding. According to the Kapamilya actress, her older brother, Dash will walk her to the altar.

Iza’s brother Dash is a member of Legit Misfitz which is a Filipino 90’s rap group. The actress and her rapper brother once performed a song at the same morning show last October 2016.
It was in October last year when Ben finally got down on one knee and Iza said yes.
The couple first met in 2011 in one magazine event. According to Iza, she was heartbroken during the time that they met. She was moving on from a recent breakup with a non-showbiz boyfriend named Atticus King who is a businessman.
Atticus and Iza had a relationship of two and a half years before they called it quits.
“That was the first night that I told myself na I’m going to stay out, socialize, mingle, and hopefully meet somebody. I was really looking for a foreigner that night kasi I’ve never dated a foreigner,” said Iza in one interview with ABS-CBN News.

Ben Wintle who is the co-founder of Booky (a restaurant finder application) was the one who first approached Iza and asked the actress if they could be friends on Facebook.
According to Iza, she laughed at Ben’s question because she thought about the many fake accounts that were proliferating in Facebook; so she just insisted that Ben get her number instead, “So sabi ko, ‘you know what, let’s not complicate things. Just get my number.’ Ganun kasi naiirita ako pag madami pang games.”
After that, the two went on dates and the rest is history. During the time that Iza’s father was sick; Ben also visited him in the hospital. And when Iza’s father – Lito Calzado, passed away, Ben made sure he was there by her side.
“He was there for me. He was very strong, patient kasi nga gulo gulo pa ako noon,” said Iza in the interview.
