Snake charming is the act of hypnotizing a snake, most of the time a cobra, through music. The art of charming a snake is said to have started in India but is now being practiced in various countries such as Morroco and Egypt as well.
In snake charming, the snake is kept in a basket, but when the person starts playing the music, the snake will then move along with the tune being played, seemingly transfixed to the music. There are a lot of explanations as to how this happens in the first place, one being that the snake does not actually here the music but is only following the movement of the object that they can see, but it is undeniable that this is an interesting and unique ability that will definitely gather a crowd.
